MEGAN MASSIE • THE PILOT

Megan Massie is a Louisville based actress and producer with a BFA in Acting from WVU. 

Selected stage credits include Dial M for Murder (Margot) at Derby Dinner Playhouse, Maple and Vine (Katha) at Constellation Stage and Screen, Night of the Living Dead (Barbara) at Stage One Family Theatre, Ada and the Engine (Ada) at Cardinal Stage, Fifth Third Bank’s Dracula (Lucy) at Actors Theatre of Louisville, and Romeo and Juliet (Juliet) at Kentucky Shakespeare. She is the voice of Amara on the audio series Warlock:  A DnD Podcast and can be heard on both national and regional commercials. Upcoming feature films include vampire thriller LandLord (2024 Cannes Marché du Film) and the neo-noir Bluffing. 

She directed the world premiere of Ossietzky:  A Peace Play and has produced, directed and written for Amios’ SHOTZ! with This Bridge Theatre. 

Megan is a recipient of the 2025 KFW Artist Enrichment Grant, a member of Women in Film KY, and the writer/co-director of the award-winning short film Swerve. Much love to Kyle and the kittens.

KYLE WARE • DIRECTOR

Kyle Ware is an actor, director, educator, artist and writer. He is Co-Artistic Director of Think Tank Theatre, a collaborative theatre ensemble, and was a Producing Founding Artistic Director of Le Petomane Theatre Ensemble.

He currently serves as Director of Education for Kentucky Shakespeare, is an actor with the company, and director of the Globe Players professional training program as part of Kentucky Shakespeare’s summer season. He received the 2023 Barbara Cullen Theatre Educator Award.

He is a graduate of the University of Louisville, holding degrees in Art, Theatre and English. Also love to Megan and the aforementioned cats.

EMILY KOBER • PRODUCTION STAGE MANAGER

Emily is enjoying her first season as part of the year-round staff at Kentucky Shakespeare. She has been PSM of the summer festival since 2022, and has stage managed Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, and The Importance of Being Earnest. Other local credits include work with StageOne, Kentucky Opera, Louisville Ballet, Pandora, and Infinity Productions. She is grateful to be part of such a rich arts community, and thanks Louisville for embracing bold and important work. Emily would like to give a special thanks to her husband Nash for always lifting her up and holding her heart with gentle hands.

LINDSAY KRUPSKI • LIGHTING DESIGNER

Lindsay is a freelance lighting designer/electrician, who has worked with KY Shakespeare on the summer lighting team since 2019. She often works on the “off-season” shows as well including Untimely Ripp’d, The Woman in Black, Enter Ghost., Shakespeare’s R&J, Henry VI: The Wars of the Roses, The Turn of the Screw, and Shakespeare in the Parking Lot: Macbeth. Since moving to Louisville 7 years ago, she has designed with many local theatre and dance companies. Lindsay grew up in Wisconsin and holds a B.F.A. from UW-Milwaukee. In her free time, Lindsay loves crocheting, listening to Taylor Swift, and watching every trashy reality show.

ALEX BISCARDI • SOUND DESIGNER

Alex Biscardi is a Louisville-based audio designer and editor. A graduate of the University of Louisville’s Theatre Arts Department, she currently works as an Associate Producer at Louisville Public Media. When not editing podcasts, you can find her in one of our local theaters, sound designing plays. She lives with her husband and beloved furbabies in Shelby Park. After audio, she loves local food, ukulele, hiking, tennis, writing, and Overwatch, lots of Overwatch.

JO HALL • PHOTO/VIDEO/DIGITAL DESIGNER

Jo Hall is a multi-hyphenated creative originally from Tucson Arizona focusing in the disciplines of Art Direction, Photography, Poetry and Music in Louisville Kentucky. 

Jo most recently did wardrobe for Lynard Skynard’s ‘FREE BIRD’ shot in Louisville Kentucky. After photography and film, she loves roadtripping out west, camping in the wilderness and playing music at a local dive. You can find Jo’s latest poetry collection PLEASANT CATASTROPHE on Amazon.

ABI VAN ANDEL • CO-PRODUCER

Abi Van Andel is an actor and producer with a BFA in Acting from Syracuse University. She has performed across the US in various genres, from Shakespeare to improv. 

Selected film credits include roles in MCVEIGH (Tribeca 2025), IN THE RADIANT CITY (TIFF 2016), QUEEN OF THE RING, and Barry Levinson’s THE ALTO KNIGHTS, where she plays opposite Robert De Niro. She also worked alongside Mark Ruffalo in Todd Haynes’ DARK WATERS, and was recently featured on CHICAGO PD.

Abi co-produced the feature film M30Oxy, an Appalachian, opioid-fueled thriller, as well as the feature film LANDLORD, a vampire thriller with social justice themes. LANDLORD debuted at the Frontières Platform during the 2024 Cannes Marché du Film. She recently completed 502Film’s inaugural Front Porch Film Lab: Kentucky’s Narrative Short Film Incubator, and is also a founding member of Women in Film KY. Additionally, she is an environmentalist, a breast cancer survivor, and an avid traveler.

STEPHAN CARPENTER • TECHNICAL DIRECTOR AND UNIVERSITY OF LOUISVILLE FACILITIES MANAGER

Stephan Carpenter is a filmmaker and theatre artist based in Louisville. This is his third season with Kentucky Shakespeare, and he is so excited to be back in the park with this amazing and talented group of people! Outside of here, Stephan is the Program Coordinator and Box-Office Manager for the University of Louisville’s Department of Theatre Arts as well as the resident sound engineer for Pandora Productions. When he’s not backstage making theatre, he’s making films with his new production company, Cinema Family Productions.

CASSIE BOBLITT • VETERAN CONSULTANT

Cassie Boblitt is a US Army Combat Veteran who served in Air Defense Artillery during the 2003 invasion of Iraq. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Bellarmine University and is the owner of Morning Rove LLC, an outdoor education business. As an educator, Cassie teaches self-reliance and land conservation, fostering true connections to the natural world. As a fiber artist, she enjoys creating clothing and art from sustainably sourced materials. A supporter of the arts, she is a member and performer of Shakespeare with Veterans, a program of Kentucky Shakespeare. Cassie is also a vocal peace advocate, understanding the true cost of war.

DEBORAH SAWYER• VETERAN CONSULTANT

SSG Deborah Sawyer enlisted in the Army National Guard in 2006 and transferred to the Army Reserve in 2019 where she is currently working toward her 20 year retirement.

Debbie has continued in service to the Veteran Community as an Outreach Coordinator at the Louisville Vet Center, where she connects Veterans to local resources and their federally earned benefits.

ROB GIVENS• VETERAN CONSULTANT

Rob graduated from the Air Force Academy and achieved the rank of Brigadier General before retiring. He has 4000 hours in the F-16 and A/O A-10. Rob flew over 100 combat sorties in Iraq and Afghanistan and was twice decorated with the Distinguished Flying Cross for heroism. He is a graduate of the USAF Fighter Weapons School and flew for the USAF Thunderbirds. He commanded at the Squadron, Group, and Wing levels. In his final deployment, Rob was responsible for combat air operations in the Middle East where he held the position of Director, Combined Air and Space Operations Center.
